Asian American Woman Awarded for Anti-Trafficking Work
Minh Dang, a Vietnamese American woman from Berkeley, California, is being honored as a Champion of Change by the White House. In observation of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage month, this award goes to 15 Asian Pacific American (APA) women who are "doing extraordinary work to create a more safe, equal and prosperous future for their communities and the country." Minh Dang is the executive director of Don't Sell Bodies, an organization that advocate for human trafficking victims. You can watch the award event live here at 1pm Eastern today.
